Stop Inflating Open Worlds

Game companies are quick to boast about how long it takes to beat their games. They will say "We've created a world that will require 100 hours to complete" but then players find out that the world is filled with objects to collect that does very little other than inflate the time it takes to complete the game.

Ubisoft is notorious for this. Not only do you have to explore every inch of the world to find those items you also, in most cases, need them for specific achievements.

The time it takes to acquire all of these items varies from game to game but one thing is for sure ... having to hunt them down is not a fun time and adds little value to the core game. It does nothing but inflate the time it takes to complete the game at 100%.

Stop this B.S.!
