We all know it's just a matter of time before Self-Driving cars will roam roads near us. Wouldn't it be great to have a racing series of Self-Driving cars? The goal would be still be to finish the race first but the arena would be designed to test out the programs behind the technology.
We could add, for example, some obstacles while the cars are cruising through the track. Maybe there’s a dummy pedestrian crossing the road, or a big metal ball going from side to side … there are no drivers so we don’t really have to think about security that much.
Again, similar to real racing, this would be to test out the latest Self-Driving technology while providing a degree of entertainment in the process.
