There seems to be lots of hate for Ubisoft as of late but I'm not one of those haters. For some reason, almost every single game that was released by Ubisoft were hits for me - even the less popular titles such as Ghost Recon Wildands/Breakpoint.
I have this weird problem at home where I own all major consoles and a fairly powerful gaming PC. This is a problem because I sometime find myself buying the same game across the multiple platform. The main reason why I do this is because I have friends all over.
Ubisoft is a winner in all this because I always end up buying their games multiple time across said platforms. I recently purchased Farcry 5/New Dawn on the PS4 in order to be able to play with my cousin and we're having a blast with it even though I have almost completed the game on Xbox One X already. It's just fun to be able to experience all of that world again with my cousin.
Similar to EA, Ubisoft seems to be a company that people love to hate but did they release anything that bad in the past few years? Blizzard, on the other hand, is a company that people love to love but have they release anything worthwhile in the last few years? Sure, I've enjoyed Starcraft 2, Diablo 3 but Warcraft 3 Reforge was kind of mixed as far as re-release goes and I never really got into World of Warcraft. To me, Blizzard has fallen a bit the same way that Ubisoft rose a bit. Nowadays, I'm more likely to buy, and rebuy, Ubisoft games than I am with Blizzards games - it's kind of making me sad really because Blizzard was on top of my list for so long... they just don't make games that appeal to me as much anymore but maybe that's on me?
