Rocket League - Yes Cars are Different!

My cousin and I play Rocket League and he admitted that he didn't feel like the cars had any differences between them. It will take a few hours of play before noticing the subtle differences between the cars but I assure you they're there.

Where the cars differ isn't in the speed or the controls but with their hitboxes. According to the Rocket League Support page, they're 6 different car hitboxes (or type) and you should try them all in order to find the one that fits your playstyle best.

As far as I'm concern, I prefer car types that are on the flat side such as the Dominus as it feels like playing with a board where the larger surface allows for easier shots based on the tilt of the vehicle (am I saying this right?). The car hits the ball a bit like a Flyswatter hits a fly and the tilting of the larger surface gives me a better sense of control over the direction of the ball.

If you've played Rocket League online then you probably already know that the most common car body type is the Octane. It smaller size make it feel like it's the most agile of the bunch which is probably why it's the preferred vehicle type.

Have you played Rocket League? What's you favorite car body type?
