Why Can't I Buy a Car Online?

It’s 2019 and I still can’t go online to build, and order, myself a car. Why do I still need to go to a dealership for these kinds of things?

Tesla is the first company that tried to go against the dealership route when selling their cars. Dealership owners got in the way due to the fear of losing the business model entirely. After all, if one car company is able to sell their cars directly to customers, via the internet, then why couldn't they all do it?

Have you ever had to deal with a car salesmen? If you're shopping around, the experience is pretty exhausting and all the added sales fees make things more expansive than they should be. The internet pretty much removes the need of a car salesman.

Look, I know we have some hoops to jump over in order to make this happen but there seem to be no desire to get things even started. Let's figure out the industrial age legal mumbo jumbo and finally get into information age.

I'm of the opinion that if I can't buy your goods and services with my phone then you have to revisit your business model. Car companies needs to get with the times.
